Hace ya tiempo que no escribo acerca de los artistas que admiro. Y hoy le toca el turno a Alex Ross. La verdad es que no soy tan fan de los comics o novelas gráficas como las llaman algunas personas, y no porque no me fascinen, sino porque tengo otros vicios que mantener como mis costuritas y mi presupuesto no da para tanto. Pero hace algunos años un primo me permitió hojear su colección y simplemente se me caía la baba; no podía creer que alguien pudiera dibujar eso, las proporciones perfectas, los escorzos alucinantes y las expreriones de los rostros de los que casi puedes escuchar la respiración. Pero para que hablarles de algo que pueden juzgar por ustedes mism@s solo vean este video y visiten su página oficial.

For some time now I haven´t write about artists I admire. And today it's the turn of Alex Ross. The truth is, I am not that into comics or graphic novels as some people call them and not because I don´t found them fascinating, but because I have other adictions that consume all my money. But several years ago a cousin let me browse his collection and just made drop my jaw, I could not believe that anyone could draw that, the perfect proportions and foreshortening amazing expresiones of the faces that you can almost hear breathing. ¡Hola! Estoy muy contenta porque el kit que envié a Tuquita, la ganadora del sorteo del 3er. aniversario, finalmente legó a sus manos. Esta es una foto de Tuquitita, su hermosa hija, quien será la propietaria del quilt cuando lo termine. Segun me comentó su mamá, le gustan mucho las sirenitas, así que me parece que lo disfrutará.

Hello! I'm very happy becuse the kit I sent to Tuquita, the winner of the 3rd. anniversary give away, finally passed on to her hands. This is a picture of Tuquitita, her beautiful daughter and the future owner of the quilt. Acording to her mom, she loves mermaids, so I think she will enjoy it.

Igualmente espero que Tuquita disfrute mucho elaborando este quilt, el cual mi hermana y yo disfrutamos mucho diseñando.
I also hope that Tuquita very much enjoy making this quilt, which my sister and I had a blast designing.

Clonación/ Cloning

¡Hola que tal! Pues estoy aquí para anunciar mi cambio de giro, ahora me dedico a la clonación. (o_O) Jajaja, y es que para una actividad de la escuela le pidieron a mi sobrina una muñeca que la representara y ni tardas ni perezosas las tías nos pusimos manos a la obra para ayudarla a hacer su mini versión. Incluso mi hermana le pintó los lunares justo donde los tiene ella. Fue muy divertido hacer esta muñeca entre las tres, y aunque mi sobrina se dió varios piquetes con la aguja, creo que al final valió la pena y gustó mucho a su maestra y compañeros de clase. ¿A ustedes que les parece? Que tengan un muy lindo fin de semana.

Hello! Here I am to announce my change of career, now I'm into cloning. (o_O) Jajaja, that's because a teacher asked my niece a doll that represented her for a school project. Without wasting any time my sister and I got to work to help her make her mini version. Even my sister painted the moles just where she has them. It was fun to make this doll together, although my niece hurteed herself a few times with the needle, I think the end was worth it and it was a success in her class. What do you think? ¡Hola! Estoy muy contenta porque recibí otra foto del SAL de Sunbonnet Sue en Cancún, esta ves de Abuela Creativa ¿Verdad que le quedó super bonita? Me gustó mucho el detalle del moño en el sombrero. Ella siempre hace cosas muy bonitas y me siento muy honrada de que mi bloque le gustara y se inscribiera a mi SAL. Y recuerden que sigo esperando las fotos de las que me faltan (n_n)

Hello! I'm very happy because I got another photo of Sunbonnet Sue in Cancun SAL, this time from Abuela Creativa Isn´t it super cute? I liked the detail of the ribbon on the hat. She always makes very beautiful things and I feel very honored that she liked my block and had suscribed to this SAL. And remember that I am still waiting for all the photos of the other participants (n_n)
