Acolchando corazones/ Quilting hearts

Del otro lado del mundo ya debe ser febrero ¿no? Bueno, pues pensando en el día de la amistad hicimos este par de cojines en seda con acolchado de corazones, tienen igual algo de bordado con pedrería y con lo tornasol de la tela se ven bien creo yo. Espero que les gusten y no olviden buscar el patrón gratuito aquí.

In the other side of the world it must be february already right? Well, thinking about Valentine's day we did this pair of silk pillows with quilted hearts, they also have some beaded embroidery and with the iridescent fabric they look good I think. I hope you'll like them and don't forget to get your free pattern here.

No se si me recuerden, soy Mitzi, la hermana menor de Laura y su socia en la tienda. No había creado una entrada excepto por el día que Laura estaba recién operada y fueron tan amables de preguntar por ella. Esta será supongo mi primera entrada oficial ya que aun cuando he contribuído con varias de las entradas anteriores de Laura, ya me convenció de hacerlo más personalmente, así que por acá estaré compartiendo con ustedes las cosas que me parece podrían interesarles.

Diadema /Headband

¡Hola! Ha pasado mucho tiempo desde mi última entrada, pero téngo como propósito de este año retomar mi querido blog que he tenido tan abandonado. Estoy trabajando en varios proyectos nuevos, pronto les voy a poner el tutorial que me pidieron por ahí de la bolsa del pan y además estoy empezando a hacer los cambios en la página de internet que me estan llevando muuucho tiempo, pero en cuanto estén listos serán l@s primer@s en saberlo.

¡Hello! It's been a while since my last post, but as a purpose for the new year I intend to resume with my dear blog that's been so neglected. I'm working on several new projects, soon I'll post a tutorial that a few people ask about my bread bag, and also I'm starting some changes on my website, that are taking me ages, but as soon as I finish you will be the first to know.Hoy les traigo el molde de esta diadema que hice para una audición a la que me invitaron de el canal utilisima, no creo que me llamen porque me puse super nerviosa, pero al menos aprovecho que ya hice el trabajo para mostrárselas y compartirles el molde. La modelo es mi hermana Mitzi ¿Verdad que se le ve bonita? La hice en varios colores, pero ella eligió quedarse con esta de colores coutry. Es una buena manera de darle un buen uso a esos jeans viejitos que ya no usamos.

Today I wanted to show you this headband I made for an audition I was invited for a craft's channel, I don't think they'll call me back because I was very nervous, but at least I can take advantage of the already made work and share with you the pattern. The model is my little sister Mitzi. Doesn't she look lovely wearing it? I made headbands in several colors, but she chose this one. This is a nice way to utilize an old pair of jeans.

Espero que les guste y se animen a hacerla. Los tallos están bordados de punto atrás y las flores son de rococó de 2 hebras de mouliné con un nudo francés de 6 hebras en el centro. Si no se acuerdan de cómo se hace el rococó chequen estas entradas antiguas. Mientras van haciendo el bordado, yo voy preparando el tutorial del armado que tiene su truquito.

Bueno, creo que por hoy es todo, les deseo que este 2011 sea un año maravilloso, lleno de amor, sorpresas lindas y mucho tiempo para coser. Un (^x^) a tod@s.

I hope you like it and make one yourselves, the swirls are back stitched and the flowers are made with 2 strands of mouline thread bullion knots and the center of the flowers are made with 6 strands french knots. If you don't remember how to make bullion knots, you can check out this old post. and while you embroider your headband, I'll be preparing the tutorial for assembling it because it's a little tricky.
